Spent the last couple of mornings shooting the pier in the Outer Banks. The lighting hasn't been the greatest and there haven't been any traditional sunrises, but sometimes you just take what you can get.
Got up this morning to the huge waves in the OBX. The hurricane down in the gulf has created some fairly big surf here on the East coast. The big waves brought out a bunch of surfers.
Took my son to the Maple Skatepark in Currituck, NC for a bit of skating. It was his first time in a "bowl" type skatepark. Seemed a little hesitant at first, but after a couple of bumps and bruises, he really took off.
No question that the superbikes are my favorite racing subject. I think having a rider rather than a driver add a human element to the images and makes them more interesting. These were shot at MidOhio this weekend.
I went to MidOhio with Terry, Lynn and Ken to shoot the AMA Superbikes, but read that the motocross was racing this weekend as well, so I took a break and walked over to the dirt track to shoot some dirt action. First time shooting this type of racing, so still learning!
Went to the Dayton Air show with my friends Terry and Lynn. Weather wise, it was a pretty crappy day. Low clouds, white sky, not much light, but we still managed to have a good time. Unfortunately there was a fatal crash on Saturday afternoon. Kind of strange when you see something like that happen right in front of you. The pilot was Jim LeRoy. The first picture is of Jim earlier in the day in the BullDog. Click on any image to see it larger.
Spent the weekend at MidOhio with Jeff, Harry and Tony. Jeff was nice enough to take his camper along. Made for a nice relaxing weekend! Click on the image to see the fullsize.
